SCOTLAND

North Western Scotland has perhaps the finest scenery in Britain, wilder and more remote than the Lakes, and combining a fantastic coastline with it's mountains and lochs. For many people who have never enjoyed the area first hand, it's a land of drizzle and midges, dreary wilderness, grey skies and black peat. The truth is fortunately very different - the region between Ullapool and Durness could reasonably be classed as one of Europe's finest landscapes, and in summer it draws many visitors from the continent. So if you've not been - what are you missing?

- A unique mix of mountains and coast.
- Spectacular views.
- Wildlife including Red Deer, Golden and Sea Eagles, Ptarmigan, Capercaillie, Otters, Whales and Dolphins, plus a rich array of sea birds such as Gannets, Arctic Skuas and rare Divers.
- Legendary Highland hospitality with a roaring fire on cold days and a cold beer to refresh you after a hard day on the hills.
- Some of the finest mountain walks and scrambles in Britain, and you've often got the hills to yourself.
- Tropical looking beaches - it's only the water temperature which is different! - white sands and clear blue water
- Weather! OK it does rain in the Highlands, but the far north west has many micro climates, and there is much more sunshine and far less time lost to bad weather than you may think. The coastal areas often have wonderful, sunny walks when the bigger mountains are shrouded in mist, and in the summer, long days allow more flexibility with timings to enable you to get the best from the day.

We offer three main group activities in the north west highlands:

- WILDERNESS WALKS - Classic walks into some of the finest wilderness in Europe - Foinavon, Arkle, Ben Mor Coigach, The Fiddler and Suilven are some of our favourites.
- MULTI-ACTIVE - Choose from: Mountain Walking, Scrambling, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Sea Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Adventure Fishing.
- WILDLIFE WALKS - Mountain and Coastal walks looking for Eagles, Red Deer, Otters and the fantastic coastal wildlife. Includes Boat trip to Handa Island and RIB Adventure around the coast.
