| Ultimate Challenge events combine different activities in a through trip across wild country. For example, you might take the first section by canoe, then walk, finishing with a mountain bike ride.
This enables your group to make an exciting journey, some of which can be self-led using checkpoints rather than having accompanying instructors, giving a feeling on independence and self-reliance. | The Lake District is perfect for these mixed activity journeys, bu they can be arranged in any of the areas we operate.
Ultimate Challenge events are carefully planned to give high quality journeys through the best scenery the National park has to offer. | | | Ultimate Challenge events are undertaken in teams of 4, with a maximum number of 8 teams participating at any one time. This is so that our activities have the minimum environmental impact in terms of issues such as erosion, and disturbance to wildlife and other users of the area. | Ultimate Challenge events can be tailored to suit your group, with the distances involved being variable depending on the route taken and the activities chosen.
Groups can also choose greater or lesser levels of self-sifficiency,and we can offer appropriate training and supervision to ensure high standards of safety.
